Once again we take to the skies, this time on a flight originating from
Trenton-Robbinsville airport (N87), over the Raritan Bay, along the
south shore of Long Island, then to the easternmost tip where
Montauk airport (MTP) is located. The flight took 75 minutes and
we were treated to many astounding sights, which you
are about to witness.
As always, I hope you enjoy the view from above !!!
#11 - The famous "Hamptons" of Long Island. Notice that each home has its own in-ground swimming pool and tennis court, not to mention the home itself is the size of a palace. |

The following (3) photos show various views of this unique summer destination airport, with its close proximity to a state park, two beaches (Long Island Sound & Atlantic Ocean), along with the popular fishing/tourist village of Montauk itself, which is also home to a Coast Guard Station

#25 - On the flight home we overflew Fishers Island, which happens to have a neat little airport named Elizabeth Field (0B8) |
#33 - On our flight back to the Garden State (NJ), a layer of clouds formed near Sandy Hook and the Raritan Bay area at about 6,000 feet. |

Well, another spectacular flight with Dad and I, this time with our
motorized Dahon folding bikes in the back of the plane, providing us
with a few hours of leisurely transportation around Montauk Point.
See you after the next flight...
