Hi everyone and welcome to my biggest winter season post
thus far, with a whopping (51) pictures for your viewing pleasure.
All photos were shot within the state of New Jersey, with the
exception of a small number over Staten Island, New York.
We begin with some affluent homes in western Morris County,
continue over some impressive properties around the
Bedminster/Bernardsville area, move towards urban areas
as we fly east along I-287, overfly the expansive Driscoll bridge
(think Garden State Parkway), witness many derelict and
half-sunken barges in the murky Kill Van Kull adjacent to
Staten Island, fly south over a smoky pine forest fire, enjoy
an all encompassing view of Six Flags Great Adventure and
the surrounding area, change course to northwest and complete the
days flight with some views of a solar field and impressive
properties in western Hunterdon County.
I hope you enjoy this smorgasbord of visual delights !!!

There's really so much to see in the Garden State,
and yet we are sometimes the ridicule of many
due to the association with the less than desirable areas
that surround Newark International airport, which
incidentally is the first area of New Jersey that visitors see,
assuming they arrive by air.
It's really a shame, too, because as you can see from
It's really a shame, too, because as you can see from
this post, as well as my previous ones, New Jersey is
really a beautiful state to live in, with so many areas
to enjoy and all within a few hours drive. From the
mountains, to rolling farms, to big cities, a popular shore
with white, sandy beaches, to a major amusement park,
to the massive pine barrens of the south, New Jersey
has it all. I hope you have enjoyed this "view from above"
of the Garden State...
